The conflict in my story is man vs society because Tally and Shay are fighting against the government and the way of living in her town. Tally is struggling to decide if she is going to tell on Shay, become pretty, and go live with Peris or not tell on Tally and live forever as an ugly. I think Tally will solve the conflict by starting more problems. I think this because Tally seems to always get in trouble. Plus she would be breaking a lot of rules which would make Special Circumstances mad. For Tally to solve the problem she will either cause problems with Shay or with the government. This is why I think it's man vs society.
Shay running away complicated the conflict further. When Shay ran away it caused a whole bunch of problems for Tally. Tally first has to decide if she wants to run away with Shay. Tally now has to decide if she wants to rat Shay out or forever live as an ugly. Peris also made things worse by holding Tally to her promise to him. Now Tally has to decide if she is going to keep her promise with Shay or Peris. That is how Peris and Shay complicated the conflict.
