(Mattie) Main conflict

The conflict of the book Uglies is Man vs. Society because Tally and Shay are fighting against the government and the way they have to live. Tally is struggling to decide if she wants to tell the truth about Shay  secret to the Special Circumstances. If she tells the Special Circumstances Shays secret then she will have better of a chance to become pretty sooner but, if she doesn't than she might never be able to become pretty again. The events that are taking place are pushing Tally's chances of becoming pretty further and further away. If the SC group finds Shay and her friends and finds out that Tally was lying Tally could get in major trouble. Although everything that is happening to Tally is bad I think some how she will defeat this conflict and become pretty. I also think that Shay will end up coming to pretty town.
