(Mattie) Little Research

In the book Uglies the author is Scott Westerfeld. Uglies is in a series of books there are Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras. Scott Westerfeld was born in May 5, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. Scott has two sisters Wendy and Jackie. His is wife is Justine Larbalestier and he attended Vassar College. Scott is a vegetarian and is very happy with his life.  The awards he has gotten from his books are Goodreads Choice Awards Best Science Fiction and Aurealis Award for best young-adult novel.

Scott Westerfeld has written 18 novels. Five for adults and the other thirteen for young adults. Scott Westerfeld rights for the ages 12-50 and his books are excellent for any ages. Scott said that he actually loves writing for a variation of ages. I think he wrote this series of books because he wanted to show teens that everyone is pretty even if they don't live in a perfect world. I also think he wrote this book because it was something different than any other author has wrote and he put a different spin on everyday normal life. Scott is a great writer and I hope he continues to wright

  1. This is ever interesting. It's cool that he has two sisters. I wonder if Tally and Shay are based off his sisters. What do you think?

  3. I agree with you on why he wrote the book. However, I also think that he wrote it because he writes several books about the future. I also think he wrote this to inform us to always stay true to ourselves.

  4. Good job on explaining about the author. I never knew he had two sisters. I wonder if he has ever wrote a children's book in his life.

  5. This is such a good post! I love how you wrote about his family. I thought he wrote this book however because his books usually take place in the future and in a different society. I wounder if maybe he writes some of his books based on his life? Over all great post Martin!
